International Fire Fighter Magazine features Doty Belt

We didn’t make the cover of the Rolling Stones, or even the cover of International Fire Fighter Magazine, but we are featured on page six of the August 2013 issue.  We are right up there with the big guys. We are thrilled to be featured in such a prestigious magazine, which is read the world over.

In case you can’t read what is said, here is an excerpt:

The DOTY BELT/LIFT ASSIST HARNESS has been created to ensure the safety of patient and rescuer, while preserving patient dignity and well-being. The ergonomic advantage the ‘Doty Belt’ provides for lifting and maneuvering heavy, elderly and bariatric patients reduces the risk of back injury for providers and increases security for patients.

The ‘Doty Belt’ stitching has been pull-tested up to 1,500 lbs without tearing or wear to the handles. Whether it is moving an elderly person, a particularly heavy person, or picking up people that are in a difficult situation, this tool gives first responders the ability to lift and assist a person in a safe, manageable and efficient way.

The Doty Belt/Lift Assist Harness was developed by Glen Doty, a fire captain with 20 years of service, who recognized the growing need for an effective, safe way to lift and maneuver patients that would also be compact, reliable and reusable.
